Nothing good is ever free and nothing free as half as good as you want it to be.

Last night when servers came up the badge vendors were selling items for free. I got myself 2 full sets of epics, but according to the WoW message today realms are down until about 10:30a today to fix that "problem".

All gear will be taken back and all badges to those that spent them refunded......well, it was fun while it lasted.
