To the cloud! Empty To the cloud!

Is it just me, or does it annoy anyone else that they now call getting information from servers, which has always been the case, getting it "from the cloud?" I get it from an advertising standpoint, but from a nerd POV, its just damn irritating.

I like it honestly. Since the internet was first a part of networking it was always identified, at least in visual aspect, as a cloud. There would be a crude drawing of the servers, the routers and the computers in a company, but then off to the side where it all connected was a big fluffy cloud that was labeled "internet". The cloud isn't a reference to the servers with which to backup or store your data, but the medium of which the data is attained. If the best way was still to walk down the hall and hand the data to somebody I'm sure by now we'd be calling it the "sneaker" by now.
