Multiple Class Mechanics and PrC's

This is how I understand it.

When a PrC gives a "+1 to existing casting class," this increases the existing casting class to determine new spells, spells per day, and casting level. The increase doesn't convey any feats, physical abilities, or special abilities that would have been gained for that level without the PrC.

So how do the "+1 levels" effect the preexisting class if a character goes back to take levels in it?

For instance:
---Jim takes 5 levels of Penn then takes a level of the PrC Teller.
---Teller grants him "+1 to existing casting class," that he applies to Penn.
---Jim decides to take his next level in his original class Penn.

1. - When Jim takes the level in Penn is he considered a Penn 6/Teller 1?

2. - The Penn class grants bonus feats at levels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19. Is Jim eligible for the level 7 Penn bonus feat?

3. - Can Jim alternate his leveling between Penn/Teller, so that he can get all of the Penn bonus feats?

1. Yes
2. you dont not recieve any bonus feats from +1 existing class levels because it effects your spells only
3. he can as long as the class allow him to
