The Last Time of Judgement

System: Time of Judgement

Setting: Earth: 2264

Background: The world is in ruin. As the prophesies foretold, the end of days came and has brought with it the demise of all life on earth save one. Always the resourceful one, Faust watched as the last life faded from existence and Hell consumed the world in the wake. Descending from on high, Tyreal, the Guardian of Fallen Heroes, approached Faust to administer his last rights. Tyreal was shocked to find Faust, not reveling, but mourning the loss of all things. "This is the end, Faust." Tyreal said to his somber adversary. "I have come to take you." Using his gauntlet, Tyreal opened a portal into the Nexus, the connecting force between all reality. "Is there any way this could have been prevented? Any way we could have lived to see the sun once more?" Tyreal rested his hand upon Faust's shoulder as they stared into the abyss. "Perhaps, but it is not for us to dwell on. It has already been and cannot be undone." A sob escaped Faust before he reached up and took Tyreal's golden armored grip. "Not by you, but I have cheated fate more than once. I will do so once more." Lurching forward Faust falls into the portal, taking Tyreal's gauntlet with him. As the portal closes, Faust stares dark and cold at Tyreal and buckles on his gauntlet.

Twist: The game starts the day the world ends. It is up to the choices of the heroes to either restore the broken world or condemn it.

Added Bonus: As per normal TOJ rules, all traditional WOD game books are open for discussion, except for Wraith. As an added bonus, the players can choose to create a character from the Aberrant universe as well.

I've gone ahead and added you to the roster as active Toast. As for Generation I can play it 2 ways. I'm fine with the idea of you starting at 7th gen and then eating some other vamps to up your gen or I can set you at 6th and not worry about that so much. Let me know your choice.

I am prob going to be diablerizing people, but if it would be simpler to just start at 6 so i can already have my points in the correct spots thats cool, if you want me to RP out getting stronger i can do that too ^_^

My thoughts on the matter go like this.

If you want to play your character a little more dark and gritty (not necessarily evil or assholic) than go lower gen with some diablerie. If you want to go more controlled and reserved than go higher gen with less diablerie.

The only reason I see it that way is because if you want to play the controlled type of character it may be more difficult for players/characters to get over the fact that you just suck the soul out of some dude just so you can run faster/jump higher/ etc...

That's my take anyway. Just give me an idea of what you want to go for and we'll rock it from there sir. Thor knows, I can write a story around anything lol

I'm really surprised with the way I opened it up that nobody is playing an Aberrant. That seemed like a great way to play a power house to me.

Yeah but that's kinda the thing too. We want to be strong, but no so overpowered that we'd be having to fight demi-gods (roughly). And alot of us can show how awesome we are without having to resort to Aberrants. Razz

Plus the concept of an aberrant just doesnt really suit the mood of the original core group.

I understand your idea for your dynamic in the group, but let's be honest. Whether you guys have an aberrant or a mummy or a hunter or whatever you'll be facing some insane godlike shit. Seriously, don't click on the spoiler unless you want some serious spoilers dropped on your head.

News Flash!

Due to the Tokyo game losing a member I've decided to do something I don't normally do.

I'm extending an invite to the remaining member of the Sunday night group to join the TOJ game. He is a quick learner and great at RP, but comparatively still fresh meat to the slaughter in a TOJ game. That being said I will not be pulling punches for him just because he's new. If he screws around he dies. End of story. This does however mean that he may end up asking a ton of questions of the seasoned players.

This is all dependent on whether he can make it or not, but I wanted everyone to be aware that I'm going to try and bring him in. I think, if anything, his personality will fit well with the group.

Does he enjoy hitting/being hit in the testicles? Is he prepared to die 7 times, be transfigured into objects, and lose sleep over the perils of ToJ? Is he a borderline alcoholic who likes to chew bubblegum and kick ass, though he's all out of bubblegum? Has he been informed that at any moment the Third Great Beebee Gun War could start, and he should be prepared to be shot in any number of sensitive body parts/areas?

I was looking up rifles for Hawk and I found exactly what I was envisioning when I described the rifle to you. Just imagine a giant Iron Cross medal embedded into the butt of the gun.
