I found out today that the national Adopt a highway program was started in Tyler.Wikipedia article.

I wonder if the guy lived in tyler who thought up the idea though. It says tyler was the first place that a group started doing it, it doesn't say it was formed in tyler though.

If I remember, Gentry had a sign on the side of the road saying it was the first adopt a highway.

Damn people wanting recognition for things all the time. They couldn't just do the world a good with adopt the highway, instead they had to go freaking crazy with it and make people adore them. fawk off genty, GG.

Personally, I think if you're gonna adopt a highway, be more careful than Gentry and don't let it crap all over the town its running through.
