J1NX HAS GAINED A NEW LEVEL IN: HACKER

Today I hacked my linksys 54G router turning it from a $60 Router to a $600 Router!

It sends stronger signal, it loads pages faster, it improves download speed of torrents.....if I cooked for me I'd never have a reason to find a woman.

I can show anyone else how to do this as well, you only need to have a linksys wireless router and the ability to hook it to your computer via wire(for config etc)

I will charge a pittance of either $10 or dinner at a place of my choosing...thats sometimes steak and other times McDonalds depends on my mood.

Why allow the profiteering gluttons to dominate your connection speed? Let the J-Man set you free!

And as I type on my brothers laptop I can say that while myrouter is working awesome my wireless adapter is dead.

If anyone has a spare wireless G adapter or has seen one for cheap locally let me know about it.

I won't be online as much as normal until i get this fixed. I will have my phone though. Call me please so I know that you aren't completely outside my reach.

Ok.....update on my upgrade.

I apparently was too quick to diagnose my prob. The wireless adapter is plugging away as stalwart as ever.

I am unsure as to exactly what the reasoning i had in my head last night was, but for some unbelievable reason I attempted to set up my own DNS ports.

I know that means jack to most of you, but the short and skinny is that since I set them to ports that don't exist they won't connect to the internet.

After discovering that I reset them to dynamic and BAM I got interwebs...so i'm back online, but I haven;t tried wow yet....we'll see if that works and I'll update again.

It'll work, but you would then have to rewrite the interweb protocols... time to set your legion of engineers on it.
