This thread will be used for all in game correspondence for V:tM - Race Against the Dawn!.

You can post to do actions or solicit information, but any information with NPC's will be handled in new threads.

So... since we are going to be in a closed setting with just the few of us, I see little need to have multiples of the same talents, abilities, etc. etc.

Personally, I believe we need a demolitions expert, a repair expert, a driving expert, a marksman expert, and pretty much whatever else we can think of. Having two people with the -ability- to drive is important, but having two people that are complete badasses at driving seems a little over the top.

I figure here we can talk about who would like to try and do what. Also, this isn't some requirement handed down from GOD lol... I'm just pitching ideas and thoughts. Personally, I would like to be the demolitions expert, thinking of going Brujah or Gangrel and using rocket launchers as primary weapon. Would have to think about it more, and obviously J1NX decides what we can and can not have at our disposal so it is also up to him. If I wasn't to become demolitions, I think I would like to be the driving expert.

Tell me what you dudes are thinking.

I like the sound of your post sir, and you are right. Spacing out the things everyone is responsible for will be important as there is no telling what will lie out on the streets.

This game will be part Fast and Furious, part Twisted Metal, part Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.

The object is to get to the end of the race track without dying....how you do that is not my call.

I am dead set on driving expert now. So you all can have your pick of whatever else. Also, while discussing some things with mike... having a medic would also be nice.

Mike mentioned this though, and I completely agree. The Marksman would make an amazing medic. If the Marksman is a medic, with all the crappy aimed shots we will need while racing, it will make it MUCH easier to get your called shots off. Just an idea.

I don't think it's a bad idea if Zach takes on the gunnery role again if that is what he wants, but I do fear monotony as much as the next guy. my word to him on that is be aware that the games becomes stale if it is always the same thing over and over again.

My thoughts on the whole of the group.

You may want to all sit down with me at some point, whether it be on vent or whatever, to discuss this vehicle.

You will need to meet with what I have in mind in order to make it playable otherwise it will not work properly or you may end up screwing yourself. Keep in mind that you will be working as a (best case scenario) 5 person team. This could mean a lot of possible setups.

I'd like to schedule time thursday if possible to make this talk happen.

Would this work for everyone?

So I have pretty much decided that I am going to play a Kiasyd. They have natural immunities to fear, and surprise attacks. I can also detect illusions, sense lies, and create glyphs that can distort and confuse enemies minds. All in all, they are a straight up knowledge based clan.

I figure as a driver, being able to resist shock, surprises, and frenzy rolls will be badass as I drive because I am cool under pressure. Just be aware, because of how I am going to create this character... I am going to have like NO fighting skill... so I will be pretty much nothing but a badass driver in this race.

Going to think up merits and flaws soon.

Any thoughts on what you guys are going to play?

im playing a lasombra that is the navigator/repair guy, will also have little fighting skills but my clan discipline should make up for it lololol

I would like my character to also be fitted with gloves that don't have fingers as for wrist support, I need a set of four daggers... two to be silver, and two to be steel. Shades we already talked about. I need a belt to hold the daggers as well. I also would like some sort of loose fitting kevlar body protection.

WARNING: I have been drinking so this list may get weird.

I was thinking my guy would be wearing a
vintage band tee(A7X Possibly?) Kevlar vest over the shirt
Regular light decently worn blue jeans
aviators
worn green guinness hat

Things I wanted to purchase before the race:

2xflame-retardant, kevlar backpacks
1xSurgeons field kit(Scalpels, etc.)
50xIncendiary 50. Cal rounds
1xSilencer for my rifle
2xEightballs of cocaine(Or whatever the popular/rarest drug is at the time)
2xCartons of lucky strike cigs
1xlockpicking kit

And to get derrick to mod my rifle so I can shoot automatically with as little recoil as possible

I will probably update this tomorrow for the last time

Everything on your list so far is totally doable I just had a suggestion. Since you will be seated, would you rather have a way to access your daggers while driving if necessary?

I suggest combining the two items into one. Make a kevlar vest with knife sheaths for your knives and then they can be drawn easily.

The emboldened parts are the parts I'm curious about.

By your description you will be looking identical to Byrd, am I right?

Would you rather have 2-3 clips of incendiary rounds for your rifle instead of 50 loose rounds?

Are you intending to be using that rifle often? You are aware that you are going to be in the car for the whole race....hopefully.
